Thanks Jackie, I am daily reminded that we are all in this together when it comes to addressing challenges. I draw strength from people like you who have carried Jacob's hope in your life for so long. Hope is real, and it provides strength. Thank you. Patty
Dear Patty and family, you are giants in my mind all these years thinking about the horror which is the nightmare of every parent and how you've labored to turn this horror to accomplish some good. And now this book, DEAR JACOB, which I look forward to reading. Some of us are on an easy glide path in life and out doing standup comedy at age 81 and leaving the hard work to others and I wish you well and hope you enjoy meeting your well-wishers and readers. It's like the old joke about the man who goes down to the river and asks a woman standing there, "How do I get to the other side?" and she says, "This IS the other side." Garrison Keillor
Dear Wetterling family: since the day Jacob was kidnapped to this very day, you’re in my prayers. I turn my porchlight on & remember your strength and courage, when I have something going on. God bless you for your work helping kids reunite with families. ❤️❤️
You are an amazing woman, Patty, to continue sharing like this over all the difficult years! This is a wonderful piece on the beauty of fall but the relationship that is has for you and your family now.
You and I were on the District 742 PTA council together in 1989 and I've kept you and your family in my thoughts for all these years. I have a son who is about Jacob's age. He did not know Jacob but had friends who did. I drove around with pictures of Jacob in my mini van windows for many months.
Patty, God Bless. Thank You for sending and sharing a beautiful letter - a letter of resilience, of determination and the wonderful hopeful symbolism of the Eagle and the sunset. Janet & I will continue keeping you & your family in our prayers. God Bless!

Dear Patty and family, dear Joy,
I have followed along all these years, and I just want to send you all a virtual hug, all the way from Spain.
From this stranger that also kept her porch light on in remembrance of Jacob, my best wishes, my unconditional support. A virtual hug to you.
